At Samara Aesthetics, we use a variety of medical gels that can help you replace the youthful structure and balance of your face. Additionally, these products can enhance certain features, such as lips, cheekbones or jawline.

Treatment areas 

Almost any area of the face can be treated, provided your practitioner is appropriately trained in the correct techniques. Dr Sam Aravinth has performed cosmetic injectable procedures on hundreds of patients over the years, and the professionals at Samara medical and cosmetic clinics are experts in their field.

Common areas that can be enhanced/treated with medical augmentation gels include:

• Cheeks – restore a more youthful appearance by enhancing the volume in the cheeks and mid-fac
• Under eyes (tear troughs) – Dark circles and hollows under the eyes can be diminished for a more rested appearance
• Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
• Lips – Plump younger lips to enhance the shape or balance proportions or to rejuvenate mature lips with a loss of volume and increased lines

How it works

These products come in a gel form that imitates the naturally occurring cells and tissues in the body. They are injected into the sub-cutaneous layer of the skin. The gels then exert a volume-lifting effect on the surrounding tissues, immediately adding volume and revitalising the skin.

Results & treatment longevity

You will see the results of your treatment almost immediately.

Augmenting gels are made to be like tissue naturally produced in the body and will dissolve over time. After receiving your treatment, you can expect them to last up to 18 months.

Potential complications

Receiving augmentation gels is non-invasive, so you won’t need to book time off work to heal. However, there may be some swelling in the injected areas.

As long as a highly skilled professional performs the treatment, there are few complications. However, medical gels have been known to cause a blockage of an artery, leading to tissue damage.

We understand that sometimes people change their minds. Perhaps you were excited about receiving your augmentation treatment, but after the procedure, having seen the results, decided it wasn’t for you. The great thing about fillers is that they can be dissolved with an injection immediately after the procedure if you’re unhappy with the results.
